Freight Solutions Coordinator

Dry Creek South Australia Full time

We are seeking an experienced Freight Solutions Coordinator to join our Dry Creek SA depot on a full-time basis.

This role involves coordinating freight movements to ensure customer requirements are met safely, on time, and efficiently. A strong focus on service excellence is essential, along with building positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support exceptional customer experiences and business growth.

About the role:

  • Full time, permanent

  • Monday to Friday from 11AM to 730PM

  • Hourly Rate - $33.1189 plus Super, plus 17.5% shift loading

What you’ll do

  • Manage the scheduling and coordination of freight across multiple modes to meet operational and customer requirements.

  • Work closely with drivers, depot staff, and external providers to ensure freight is moved safely and within required timeframes.

  • Monitor freight movements, track progress, and proactively resolve any issues that may impact service delivery.

  • Ensure all customer calls, enquiries, and emails are actioned and responded to in a timely manner to enhance the customer experience.

  • Assist with the identification, investigation, and resolution of operational or service issues.

  • Use systems, tools, and resources to capture and share accurate information for effective communication and reporting.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe, efficient, and customer-focused working environment.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned and required.

  • Manage customer collection. Attend to phone calls from customers coming to collect freight.

  • Salesforce experience or ability to learn.

  • Manage and work as part of team of 3-4 employees.

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in freight coordination, logistics, or transport operations.

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Experience in logistics, transport, or freight coordination – Preferred

  • FL licence required

  • Drivers licence

  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and freight systems)

  • Knowledge of WHS practices within transport/logistics.
