Team mission

We’re looking for a passionate, adventure-driven freelance photographer to help us capture the essence of the unique activities offered in the US and beyond. By stepping into the shoes of our customers, you’ll help us create visual content that inspires travelers to experience the world.

As part of our global freelance team, you’re based in Los Angeles, photographing activities across the city and surrounding areas, from iconic landmarks to hidden gems. Whether it’s a city tour, a cultural performance, or a water-based activity, you'll have the opportunity to experience a diverse range of activities in various environments and seasons. We’re looking for photographers who are excited about exploring new places, engaging with real people, and bringing experiences to life through imagery.

Your mission

Our photographers are strategically located around the world and travel short distances from their base to fulfill assignments, capturing the experiences of activities offered on our platform. Assignments are paid based on the duration of the activity (ranging from 1-hour tours to full-day trips), and you will deliver a set number of photos, depending on the assignment’s duration. All entrance fees are covered, and a travel stipend is provided to our photographers for each assignment. We require that you be fluent in English and properly registered as a freelancer in your country of residence.

Your toolkit

  • Experience working in a documentary style of photography, capturing real-life events and moments in a natural and engaging manner
    • A big plus (but not required): Experience with videography to complement your photography work
  • Flexible to work with a diversity of environments (outdoors as well as indoor shots) and activity types (e.g., city tours, water activities, shows/performances, etc.)
  • Comfortable giving some direction to real people who will be part of the activities you’re photographing
  • Comfortable asking real customers who you’ve shot and are recognizable in your photos to sign our model release
  • Able to take direction, follow a brief, and meet specific deadlines
  • Able to work with Google Drive and Google Sheets
  • Taking ownership of your shoot assignment, i.e., communicating with our activity providers before the shoot for any questions, and monitoring the weather leading up to the shoot

  • A professional full-frame sensor DSLR or mirrorless camera that supports industry-standard professional RAW formats
  • 16mm–35mm lenses for wide-angle shots, max 135mm lens for close-ups

  • Gimbal (slider, tripods, and other grip equipment may be necessary)
  • Editing experience with Premiere Pro

Benefits:

  • Regular flow of assignments in your area
  • Punctual monthly payments
  • Personal support: you’ll have a dedicated point of contact who will support you with setting you up with assignments through to the final delivery of photos
