Analog Devices FPGA Internship

Are you passionate about embedded software, analog or digital hardware design, FPGAs or microcontrollers? We’re looking for final year students and master’s candidates in Computer Science or Electronics to join our multinational team working on instrumentation, robotics, automotive, and communications projects for a 12-month paid internship.

Role Overview

As an FPGA Design Intern, you’ll join our solutions team supporting high-performance analog and mixed-signal products across industries like industrial automation, healthcare, and communications.

You’ll help develop embedded digital designs for various FPGA platforms, collaborating with hardware and software teams to bring up systems, debug issues, and support global customers.

Key Activities

  • Implement FPGA designs targeting ADI’s converter technologies
  • Develop HDL designs for FPGA evaluation platforms and demo systems
  • Support system-level testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Create documentation, application notes, and technical guides
  • Engage with customers via ADI’s Engineer Zone forum and assist in technical training

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with digital design (VHDL/Verilog)
  • Familiarity with FPGA platforms (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice)
  • Understanding of embedded systems and processors (ARM, MicroBlaze, NIOS)
  • Exposure to Linux and bare-metal development
  • Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, signal generators)
  • Scripting skills (Perl, Tcl, shell)
