What You'll Responsible For:
1. Financial Planning & Budgeting
Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for Wilhelmsen Marine Personnel divisions.
Coordinate with Global Head of Marine Personnel and Global Head of Marine HR to align crew movements with financial targets.
Support long-term planning initiatives.
2. Cost Analysis & Business Partnering
Monitor and analyze performance against budget and forecast.
Provide monthly variance analysis with clear commentary and actionable insights.
Act as a finance business partner to division heads (Wilhelmsen Marine Personnel management team).
Challenge assumptions and identify cost optimization opportunities.
3. Reporting & Management Information
Supervise team preparing monthly and quarterly management reports/presentations for general managers and management team.
Deliver ad hoc financial analysis as and when required
Present financial insights to relevant business partners
4. Process Improvement & Controls
Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Enhance financial models and automation tools.
Strengthen internal controls around crew-related expenditures.
Support ERP and crewing system integrations.
What Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
5–8+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and financial management principles.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA are highly desirable.
Prior experience in the shipping or maritime industry is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred.
