What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking an Associate Director to join our Counterparty Credit Risk team in New York covering wholesale and capital markets activities across the U.S. The role primarily supports our NAV lending/Alternative Assets business and Combined U.S. Operations (CUSO) CCR reporting, with secondary coverage of our Client Clearing (CC)/Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) business. The position demands both technical depth and the judgement to serve as risk oversight for complex and growing businesses.

What will you do?

  • Conduct counterparty credit risk (CCR) analysis and reporting for Combined U.S. Operations (CUSO), Alternative Assets Group (AAG), and Client Clearing (CC)

  • Serve as the CCR subject matter expert for AAG, providing guidance on NAV lending, fund financing, and related structures

  • Partner with front office and credit teams on deal-level risk assessment, including review of new transactions and fund structures

  • Provide backup coverage for CC/FCM CCR oversight

  • Contribute to the development of risk frameworks, policies, and methodologies

  • Develop and automate workflows and infrastructure to improve reporting sophistication, efficiency, and accuracy

  • Collaborate with the front office, and other risk management teams locally and globally to ensure robust risk oversight

  • Contribute to the team's adoption of AI and machine learning tools for analytics and process improvement

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in risk management, with preference for credit risk, counterparty credit risk, wholesale lending, or capital markets risk oversight.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a STEM field.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to develop and interpret risk models and frameworks.

  • Proficiency with programming and data analysis technologies such as SQL, Python, R.

  • Experience with financial reporting and analytics, including ability to synthesize data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively present risk analysis and recommendations to diverse audiences (front office, senior management, and peer risk teams).

  • Demonstrated experience improving processes and contributing to the development or refinement of risk methodologies and frameworks.

  • Knowledge of wholesale banking, capital markets, or lending operations in a U.S. context.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with credit risk, counterparty credit risk (CCR), or market risk.

  • Familiarity with alternative assets, NAV lending, fund financing, or related structures.

  • Experience with risk data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

  • Ability to program or develop automated processes for data analysis and workflow improvement.

  • MBA, CFA, or FRM certification (or progress toward certification).

  • Experience in a financial services environment covering multiple business lines or geographies.

  • Exposure to AI/machine learning applications in risk management or analytics contexts.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $120,000-$200,000 (New York), depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
