Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

The FP&A Associate supports financial planning, analysis, and governance for operating costs and capital expenditure within the Enterprise Division. This role ensures strong cost discipline, effective capex planning, and high-quality financial insights to support decision-making and business performance.

Cost Management & Analysis

  • Own operating cost (Opex) budgeting, forecasting, and monthly tracking for the Enterprise Division.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand cost drivers and provide insights on variances.

  • Perform monthly variance analysis (budget vs. actual, forecast vs. actual) and explain key movements.

  • Identify cost optimisation opportunities and support cost control initiatives.

Capex Planning & Governance

  • Lead capex budgeting and forecasting for the Enterprise Division.

  • Track and monitor capex utilisation against approved budgets.

  • Ensure alignment of capex spend with business priorities and approved business cases.

  • Support post-investment reviews and benefits tracking where applicable.

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare regular management reports and dashboards on costs and capex.

  • Contribute to division-level forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans.

  • Work closely with the P&L-focused FP&A colleague to ensure consistency across financial views.

Business Partnering

  • Act as finance partner to cost owners and project managers.

  • Provide financial guidance to support operational and investment decisions.

Process & Governance

  • Improve planning, tracking, and reporting processes for costs and capex.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and approval frameworks.

  • Support audit and governance requirements related to cost and capex.
