At Feather, we’re building the voice platform that powers how enterprises interact with customers, automate workflows, and unlock entirely new user experiences. We sit at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and real-world business operations.
We’re looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer who thrives in both technical and business environments, someone who can work directly with enterprise customers to bring Feather to life inside their organizations.
What You’ll Do
As a Forward-Deployed Engineer at Feather, you will be the bridge between our product and our customers:
- Own customer deployments end-to-end: from initial onboarding to full production rollout
- Work directly with enterprise stakeholders (product, engineering, ops, leadership) to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Implement and customize Feather’s platform to fit real-world business workflows
- Build integrations with customer systems (APIs, data pipelines, internal tools)
- Debug, iterate, and optimize deployments to ensure reliability and performance
- Drive long-term customer success, not just initial implementation
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, influencing product direction based on real usage
Who You Are
- You are both technically strong and business-aware. You understand how systems work and why they matter
- You enjoy working directly with customers and can communicate clearly with both engineers and executives
- You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and figuring things out in real time
- You take ownership and move quickly, especially in high-stakes environments
- You care deeply about delivering real outcomes, not just writing code
Qualifications
- Strong software engineering background (experience with APIs, backend systems, and integrations)
- Experience working with customers in a technical capacity (solutions engineering, forward deployment, or similar)
- Ability to quickly understand new industries and business workflows
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Bonus: experience with voice systems, AI platforms, or enterprise SaaS deployments
Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to Feather’s success. You won’t just ship features, you’ll make Feather work in the real world, helping enterprises adopt voice technology in ways that deliver measurable impact.
You’ll be on the front lines of product-market fit, shaping both our customer outcomes and our product roadmap.
What You’ll Get
- Competitive salary
- Work on frontier technology + business outcomes
- Deploy AI systems in real enterprise workflows
- Direct exposure to enterprise customers and real-world problems
- High ownership and autonomy
- A fast-moving, product-focused environment
- The opportunity to define how modern voice platforms are deployed at scale
Note: For this role we will need you to work in Pacific timezone since most of this job is interacting with our customers and matching their availability is important
