Food Service Associate
Schedule: Full Time - Rotating - with every other weekend commitment
Location: Darby, PA
Department: Food & Nutrition Patients
Reports to: Supervisor Food and Nutrition Services
Position Purpose:
Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced Food Service Associate to join our Food and Nutrition team!
What You Will Do:
The main duties of our Dietary Aides are to complete daily responsibilities that may include meal assembly, cold food preparation, utility and dish room functions.
Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures.
Serving meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations.
Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning.
Assisting with educational programs on nutrition.
Talking to patients on the phone and receiving their meal order
Minimum Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
Barista or food service experience
