FMI Operations Specialist
Te tūranga – The role
Join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of key payment systems that enable timely settlement of transactions between financial institutions.
As an FMI Operations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for processing and calculating corporate actions and working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day will include:
Processing and calculating corporate action events
Reconciling financial systems and completing operational tasks
Supporting system testing and validation activities
Identifying issues and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
This role will require periodic after-hours availability and may also require on-call support.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience and understanding of the ESAS/NZClear environment and its dependencies
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including demonstrated use of macro-enabled spreadsheets
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Collaboration and teamwork
A proactive mindset
