Meaningful Work From Day One

Join the Florida team as a Chain Merchandising Manager and lead off-premise merchandising execution for Brown-Forman’s portfolio. Collaborate with internal teams, distributors, and retailers to develop impactful brand-building programs. From creating sales tools to driving field-level activations, you’ll play a key role in driving sales and ensuring our brands stand out at the point of purchase.

What You Can Expect

  • Champion the off-premise chain effort to win at the point of purchase for the entire Brown-Forman Portfolio. Develop and implement off-premise chain brand building programs with the distributor. 

  • Collaborate with multiple internal contacts consisting of sales team, National Account Managers, Customer Account Managers, and regional leads to ensure execution against programming.  

  • Connect with multiple external contacts including the distributor and retailers.

  • Lead merchandising efforts as the single point of contact for distributor VP of Merchandising. 

  • Manage National POS (Point of Sale) consistent with brand merchandising requirements.

  • Create successful incentive / merchandising programs to deliver best in class execution for Brown-Forman brands and maximize consumer awareness.

  • Measures and evaluates the performance of merchandising execution plans.  Provides feedback to key internal stakeholders.

  • Train, educate, motivate and hold accountable distributor merchandising teams to maximize brand building efforts.

  • Facilitate Chain HQ Planner and Programs and assure Chain Merchandising field level execution of Brown-Forman brands.

  • Pre-plan expected sales goals for larger planner programs and monitor progress of the programs.

  • Work with Brown-Forman Account Managers to align on expected results and prepare action plans to assure success. Report results back to all key stakeholders.

  • Prepare and deliver sales materials for the entire distributor salesforce (sell sheets - sales guides etc.)

  • Order Sales tools on the National Promotions system as well as manage all coupon orders. Design and order through outside vendors when needed. 

  • Manage warehouse inventory to assure the team has the tools to succeed. 

  • Provide content and present all General Sales meetings to motivate the distributor team.

  • Conduct work field level work withs with the distributor team. Provide field level guidance and drive sales with presentations to Managers at store level. 

  • Plan and organize majors sales blitz programs throughout the year. Solicit team assistance for feet on the street programs that drive major results.

  • Plan and organize all Field level survey events for Florida. Report back on results.

  • Plan and organize execution against major sponsorship programs and drive activation on the displays to support the investments.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of 4 years in the beverage alcohol and/or beverage industry with a proven track record of meeting key metrics and a strong, consistent presence in the market with key accounts and customers including experience in distributor management.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working. Relationships with distributors and accounts and all internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated strong coaching and sales training skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of off-premise business and three-tier distribution system. 

  • Team player:  Able to put the needs of the overall Brown-Forman business above the specific needs of the territory or team.  Seeks out opportunities to collaborate with leaders in other channels and territories.  Keeps relevant parties informed of activity and seeks similar behavior from the area team.

  • Literate with word processing programs (such as Word), spreadsheet programs (such as Excel), and presentation programs (such as PowerPoint).

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license.

  • Physical ability to lift 60 pounds.
