Purpose of the role

The Flight Support Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing Flight Operations Engineering processes to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The role supports operational excellence by managing aircraft performance, weight and balance, navigation data, and Flight Operations IT systems.

Main tasks of the role ...

  • Perform flight operations engineering activities including take‑off, enroute, drift‑down, and landing performance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain take‑off and landing weight and performance charts where applicable.
  • Develop oxygen escape routes and conduct drift‑down performance analyses.
  • Perform quarterly Aircraft Performance Monitoring (APM) analyses.
  • Supervise and maintain processes related to aircraft mass and balance.
  • Categorise routes, areas, and aerodromes in accordance with the Operations Manual.
  • Maintain and update Flight Operations documentation, manuals, forms, and data.
  • Manage and maintain the Flight Operations library system.
  • Support daily operational tasks as required by operational needs.

  • Overall responsibility for Flight Operations Engineering functions within the scope of the role.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and validity of all flight operations data and information.
  • Ensure that only approved software versions and current data packages are installed on EFB systems, in coordination with the EFB Administrator
  • Act within the authority delegated by the Flight Support Manager and in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in Flight Operations Engineering within an airline environment.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Experience with Jeppesen JDM, OPT, and MyBoeingFleet.
  • Familiarity with Boeing PET, BCOP, and BPS for performance and drift‑down analysis.
  • Experience with Flightkeys is an advantage.
  • Experience in seasonal slot coordination and traffic rights management is an advantage.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Eligibility to work within the European Union.
