The Flexera One Technical Analyst is responsible for the administration, engineering, and continuous improvement of State Street’s Flexera One IT Asset Management and IT Visibility platforms. The role ensures the delivery of complete, accurate, and reliable software and hardware inventory data that supports Software Asset Management, ITAM governance, compliance, operational efficiency, and audit readiness.
This position requires strong technical expertise across Flexera One components, connectors, and inventory processes, coupled with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly in a global environment. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration & Operations
- Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the Flexera One platform, including FlexNet Beacon health, agent policy configuration, certificate/CRL management, and environment monitoring.
- Ensure consistent and timely ingestion of software and hardware inventory data.
- Maintain high levels of data completeness, accuracy, and integrity to support SAM, ITAM, CMDB, and compliance functions.
- Build and optimize discovery rules, inventory policies, and scheduling configurations.
Integration & Connector Engineering
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Flexera connectors and integrations with enterprise technologies including:
- ServiceNow (CMDB & Discovery)
- MECM/SCCM
- VMware vCenter / ESXi
- Nutanix AHV / NC2
- Microsoft Hyper‑V
- Oracle VM / IBM virtualization platforms
- Docker
- Kubernetes (cluster, node, and container inventory)
- Build and maintain API-based integrations using scripting, automation, and transformation workflows.
- Collaborate with the ServiceNow CMDB team to improve cross‑platform alignment and data quality.
Beacon & Agent Management
- Oversee the global FlexNet Beacon estate, ensuring optimal configuration, performance, and connectivity.
- Drive agent lifecycle management across Windows, Linux, macOS, virtualized environments, and containerized workloads.
- Improve deployment coverage and reduce inventory blind spots.
Data Governance & CMDB Alignment
- Ensure ingestion pipelines support enterprise data governance standards, including normalization and reconciliation.
- Reduce discrepancies between Flexera One data outputs and ServiceNow CMDB records.
- Support internal and external audits through reliable, evidence‑based inventory reporting.
Automation, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Automate operational processes, health checks, and data quality remediation activities.
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and knowledge articles.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance platform performance, maintainability, and integration reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Work closely with global teams including SAM, ITAM, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, EUC, ServiceNow, and Security.
- Provide clear communication to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Support incident management and root cause analysis for platform or integration issues.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years hands‑on experience administering and integrating Flexera One or FlexNet Manager Suite.
- Strong expertise with FlexNet Beacon operations, agent deployment, discovery configurations, and inventory data flows.
- Technical experience integrating Flexera with MECM, ServiceNow, VMware, Nutanix, Hyper‑V, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and/or other automation scripting languages.
- Understanding of REST APIs, authentication frameworks, JSON structures, and system‑to‑system integrations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and CMDB modelling.
- Exposure to cloud asset inventory (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools and container orchestration concepts.
