Reporting to Fleet Operations Manager, the position is a hands on role working with and managing a small team providing an efficient cost effective and quality service specialising in the repair & maintenance of fleet vehicles and mobile plant ranging from company cars, car derived vans and light commercial vehicles.
As workshop supervisor you will control the workload through the service centre allocating work to technicians, monitor and control the service and MOT programme. You will ensure vehicles and equipment are inspected and serviced to manufacturer recommendations, Company policy, Transport Legislation and Health & Safety requirements.
Ensuring that team members complete own administration as well as completing your own, maintaining maintenance history records, and raising and completing work record for each item of equipment worked on.

IMI or equivalent level 3 in light and/or heavy vehicle maintenance
IOSH Managing Safely (or be willing to complete the course)
Supervisory experience in a commercial or Fleet workshop environment
Plan, prioritise and organise workload and teams so that targets and deadlines are met
Ability to adapt communication style (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Good understanding of all Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel and able to interpret data or information and action accordingly
