The Fleet Parts Specialist position manages inventory, sourcing, and supply of light and heavy-duty parts for the Maricopa County Equipment Services Department. This position certifies the accuracy of invoice receipts, maintenance needs, and timely distribution of facility-related commodities.

We Require
Two years of experience in obtaining, storing, and issuing automotive or construction equipment parts
High school diploma or GED
An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
Must complete a Certified Agency Procurement Aide (CAPA) within six months of hire
Must complete a valid Forklift Operator Training Program within six months of hire

Job Contributions
Source and procure parts for the fleet maintenance team
Post parts to work orders in FasterWeb
Receive items from vendors while checking for accuracy of pricing and quantity
Maintain inventory by ensuring adequate stock levels, performing inventory counts, and adding and removing stocked inventory as needed
Coordinate return to vendors and confirm that proper credit is processed
Dispatch delivery drivers depending on priority
Act as a backup delivery driver to pick up parts from vendors when necessary
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
This position requires the employee to be in the office/field or customer-facing for all hours worked
Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10- 20 pounds constantly
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software, and Hardware
All specialized equipment, software, and hardware will be provided by Equipment Services.
Protective Equipment Required
All PPE will be provided by Equipment Services.
