Sanofi Business Services (SBS), one of the 4 pillars of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, is setting up a captive Business Services center in Budapest to provide Finance & Accounting (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash) as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services. With respect to Account to Report (A2R) the Business Services center will be covering the following areas of the process:

  • Assets Management

  • Tax Accounting

  • Intercompany Accounting

  • Treasury Accounting

  • GL Accounts Closing and Reporting

We are seeking a dynamic and accountable professional to join our A2R Fixed Assets team. This role goes beyond transactional processing and requires strong ownership, leadership, and strategic thinking to manage the fixed assets lifecycle and contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Fixed asset accounting is a critical process in asset management this role is a critical analytical and control-focused role, providing deep analytical support, risk identification, and process control oversight across all aspects of fixed assets operations.

  • The ideal candidate is a self-driven, intellectually curious professional who thrives in ambiguity, takes full ownership of deliverables, and proactively identifies solutions without requiring constant direction.This role is pivotal in driving the Fixed Assets function's strategic shift from a people-dependent operating model to a robust, control-based process framework.

  • Functional and Technical: Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs, Hands on knowledge of SAP, Power BI, Blackline. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel. Knowledge of Internal control and process.

  • This role is reporting to the Head of Fixed Asset Accounting based in Hyderabad.

About you

  • Experience: Masters degree in accounting or finance. Good and proven experience in Fixed asset/complex accounting environment (experience of 5 to 8 years preferably in an international multicultural environment

  • Internal Controls Monitoring & Enhancement: Monitor the effectiveness of key internal controls across the fixed assets cycle. Conduct and support health reviews of review mechanisms performed by team leads, ensuring continuous monitoring until optimal control structures are achieved. Identify control weaknesses and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design and implement enhancements. Track control performance metrics and report findings to the Head of Function

  • Core Model & Compliance: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Sanofi's Fixed Assets core model and ensure all activities are aligned with its principles. Ensure fixed assets accounting is compliant with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP) and Sanofi's internal policies. Act as a subject matter reference point for core model application within the team

  • SAP Fixed Assets Expertise: Leverage advanced SAP Fixed Assets module knowledge to extract, analyze, and interpret data. Identify system configuration gaps or process deviations within SAP and recommend corrective actions. Support SAP-related queries and issue resolution within the Fixed Assets COE

  • Reporting, Visualization & Communication: Create high-quality charts, dashboards, flowcharts, and process diagrams to communicate complex data and findings clearly. Prepare concise, insight-driven reports for the Head of Function and senior stakeholders. Maintain a structured repository of analytical outputs, control monitoring results, and process documentation

  • Strategic Support to Head of Function: Act as the go-to analytical resource for the Head of Fixed Assets Function. Independently manage and execute analysis requests, control reviews, and special projects. Provide structured recommendations and solutions, not just problem identification. Support the Head of Function in driving the COE's strategic agenda and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Languages: English fluent (written and oral)

  • Working Hours: Be responsible for the period-end closing and reporting in accordance with Sanofi month end close schedule. The associate may need to work in different working hours during the month-end closing period for 5-7 days, depending on the region they support.
