The Firm Intelligence Practice Solutions Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of experience data and lead firm practices through the matter profiling process. The Firm Intelligence Practice Solutions Manager will play a strategic role in collaborating with business development, practice management, and attorneys to optimize data-driven decision-making and enhance firm-wide intelligence capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage the data collection processes for clients and matters, ensuring adherence to governance and administration standards for matter profiling.
Lead the attorney matter survey process, providing strategic support and guidance as necessary.
Strategically utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to extract and analyze structured data from attorney work products housed in the firm's document management system.
Provide strategic recommendations for the configuration and enhancement of systems and processes for data collection and management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for firm inquiries related to experience and expertise needs, providing strategic insights and solutions.
Validate and ensure the integrity of data flowing into Foundation from other systems, collaborating with appropriate teams to rectify data discrepancies in source systems.
Oversee the entry and validation of matter and client permissions and restrictions, ensuring compliance with firm policies.
Lead efforts to identify and implement opportunities for improvement within the Foundation system and data collection processes and workflows.
Conduct regular audits of data in Foundation through reports and lead data cleanup initiatives.
Communicate effectively with the Firm Intelligence team regarding issues, questions, and enhancement requests, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of firm data, as appropriate, with a strong understanding of data privacy and security protocols.
Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to derive strategic insights from complex data sets.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and drive strategic initiatives.
Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands while meeting deadlines, demonstrating strategic agility.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word styles and template creation. Familiarity with legal platforms including LexisNexis CourtLink, Docket Alarm, and Courtroom Insight.
Strong working knowledge of and familiarity with legal clients, practices, and markets. Prior law firm or professional services firm experience is preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required, or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position's duties at a managerial level.
Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
Extensive law firm or legal experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in managing data projects and driving data-driven decision-making within an organization.
