The Sprinkler Install Lead Technician leads individual jobs or multiple smaller, minimally complex jobs based on branch needs while remaining actively engaged in fieldwork. The Lead Technician may assist with providing direction, coordination, and oversight to team members while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate installation of fire sprinkler systems.
Support technicians and apprentices on job sites.
Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
Plan and manage individual or multiple small-scale jobs.
Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
Review and complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Travel to job sites as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
Must have at least 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
NICET Level II or above preferred.
Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler system installation practices and applicable codes.
Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Pay Rate:
$60,000 – $90,000 annually DOE
