Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports
  • You will handle cash items and use cash accountability control methods, and perform technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and custody of cash items.
  • You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government, including reimbursements for medical care, education, travel, and transportation.
  • You will determine pay, maintain payroll records, and complete reports pertaining to civilian employees, including answering inquiries and providing advice on pay-related rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • You will establish, maintain, correct, and close pay accounts for active, reserve, and retired armed forces personnel, as well as their annuitants.
  • You will perform technical work in support of budget analysis and administration, including maintaining ledgers and assisting with budget formulation, and compiling, consolidating, checking, and organizing funding data.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: using automated financial systems to maintain accounting transactions, prepare travel authorizations, and compile financial reports to management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
