Financial Reporting Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Lead to ensure the timely, accurate delivery of financial and management information for internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a key consultative function, supporting business units through the development, interpretation, and application of relevant financial insights.
You’ll work closely with local business teams, auditors, and tax partners while supporting core accounting activities and helping drive informed business decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Own accounting, costing, and financial reporting for multiple physical Shell Lubes businesses
- Deliver timely and accurate management and statutory reporting
- Support day‑to‑day back‑office finance activities to ensure smooth business operations
- Serve as a key liaison with statutory auditors and tax teams
- Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis and business case preparation, particularly linked to Marine business development
- Complete and review key monthly accounting activities to ensure accuracy and data integrity
- Provide financial insight and guidance to business units through interpretation of management information
What You Bring
Education & Qualifications
- Completed A‑Levels
- Working towards (or holding) an AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or financial reporting role
- Experience working in a structured office or finance environment
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Oracle or other finance/accounting systems is desirable
- Strong analytical, numerical, and financial problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
Language Requirements
- English – fluent (written and verbal)
- Spanish – advantageous but not required
