Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment. This role will oversee the global close process, strengthen financial controls, and drive automation and operational efficiencies across accounting workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a mindset focused on leveraging modern financial systems, automation, and AI-driven tools to build scalable processes that support the company’s continued growth.
 
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis, maintaining strong internal controls and high-quality financial data.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and management reporting.
• Perform detailed flux and variance analysis across balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify trends and operational insights.
• Support external audits, statutory audits, and tax filings, coordinating closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Oversee accounts payable and payroll accounting processes, including reconciliations, compliance filings, and related controls.
• Drive continuous improvement across accounting operations by implementing automation, AI-enabled tools, and scalable workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
• Manage and optimize the company’s financial systems environment, including NetSuite ERP, Coupa procure-to-pay platform, and other accounting tools.
• Identify and lead initiatives to improve process efficiency, system integrations, data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Sales Operations, HR, Procurement, and other global teams to support operational and financial objectives.
• Research and interpret new and emerging GAAP pronouncements, assess potential impacts, and implement appropriate accounting policies.
• Lead, coach, and develop members of the accounting team while building scalable processes for a growing organization.
• Support strategic finance initiatives including system implementations, process optimization, and operational scaling required in a high-growth company environment.
 
  
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or team management responsibilities; public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience working in high-growth technology or SaaS environments preferred.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and modern financial systems.
• Experience with Coupa or similar procure-to-pay platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with tools such as Shareworks (equity administration), Paylocity (payroll), or similar platforms is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis, with the ability to leverage data for insights and operational improvements.
• Demonstrated experience automating and scaling accounting processes using technology, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and ownership over deliverables.
• This is an onsite/hybrid position working at our Redwood City, CA office. Currently, our team is working Mon/Tue/Wed onsite, Thu/Fri remote.
