Job Description

As a Financial Reporting Analyst with OMES you will enjoy:

Job Details

  • Full-time 40-hour work weeks.

  • Support the Finance team

  • Salary up to: $61,000

Responsibilities

  • Compiles data related to agency financial transactions and operations, revenues, and expenditures

  • Analyzes financial information concerning personnel, capital projects, supplies and equipment, professional services, and other expenses

  • Prepares and disseminates financial reports related to expenditures, encumbrances, cash balances, and budget to actual variances to ensure timely financials are available to everyone from the Chief Financial Officer and down.

  • Maintains and configures databases utilized in financial reporting including Access and other software.

  • Review and verify payroll funding information for budgetary accuracy.

  • Compile and analyze financial ratios for accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, and other areas.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position works in a comfortable office setting for a large percentage of the work day.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, economics, accounting or finance; or

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience in one of the above areas.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who possess

  • Microsoft Excel experience at an intermediate or higher level

  • Database experience at an intermediate or higher level, preferably Microsoft Access

  • Experience in Peoplesoft CORE application to include Query Manager

  • Analytical self-starter skills

  • Knowledge of financial ratios
