Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

The Role
Nasdaq is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the Capital Access Platforms Group.  The FP&A Analyst role will support the organization providing timely insightful analysis and financial control. This position is a key member of the Business Control team which works closely with the business unit leadership on a regular basis

What You'll Do

  • Prepare monthly close activities including accrual calculations, journal entries, variance analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans including commentary to support business planning.
  • Support procurement process within our business area to ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
  • Maintain documents that support the financial plans including headcount, allocations, and expense details.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiencies and standardization within financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis, communicating and presenting analysis and data as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Some experience in a Financial Planning and Analyst role.
  • Experience in applying analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • High-performing organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Experience with Workday, Onestream, and MS Excel
