Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will report to the Plant Controller, Regional Controller on a “dotted line” basis, he will manage a local team and work closely with shared services and other divisions. The Individual will be working in a fast-paced environment, working with larger business operations organization (e.g. Finance & Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, HRBR, etc).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the local accounting team (develop skills & knowledge).
  • Work closely with shared service team to ensure accuracy of the data and provide guidance and process improvements as needed
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost reduction
  • Manage Month end/year end processes including the preparation of journals and validation of accounts. Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statement, in local and US Gaap.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Local / US Gaap accounting standards, internal control policies, and procedures defined at National, Regional & Global Level.
  • Prepare & manage accurate and in-timely tax (VAT..), customs and social filings.     
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to support business requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors (external/internal), tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Perform and support any ad-hoc financial analysis and projects, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in accounting or a relevant field
  • Proven experience in finance, accounting or related role(5 / 10 years)
  • Advanced knowledge of French Accounting and Tax related legislation
  • Excellent Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERPs.
  • Working in an industrial environment & international environment would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal (French & English are mandatory), and Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholder
