Salary Range: $51210 - $81436 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL EXECUTION (N822), GOVERNMENT OPERATED SHIPS (N8222) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Major Duties:

  • You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
  • You will develop, determine and report financial obligations and expenditures.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and expenditures.
  • You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
  • You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities.
  • You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.

Qualifications: To Qualify for the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and preparing budget exhibits and documentation for budget submissions. Experience providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. Experience maintaining accounting documentation on all funding increases and decreases to annual resources. Experience applying financial and accounting standards, implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. Experience analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. To Qualify for the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience reviewing and evaluating budget requests. Experience preparing preliminary budget estimates, financial reviews to support program activities. Experience providing information about, and interpreting standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. Experience tracking and controlling expenditures and obligations for special programs. Experience reviewing reports and documentation to ensure compliance with financial standards.
