ABOUT US

The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.  We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better.  It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

Why this role matters

Moneycare supports people through some of the most challenging moments of their financial journey. We walk alongside community members as they build confidence, stability and long-term financial capability. This role is about strengthening wellbeing, restoring dignity and helping people feel more in control of their future. It’s meaningful work that creates real change in the lives of individuals, families and the wider community.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to be the local face of Moneycare in Karratha. Under our revised service model, you will be the on-the-ground presence supporting community members right where they are. You’ll work closely with our Financial Counsellor based in Morley, attending appointments with community members when needed and providing practical, relational support that helps people feel heard, supported and empowered.

Your days will be varied and deeply connected to the community — from helping someone prepare for their first Financial Counselling appointment, to delivering financial literacy workshops, to supporting people to navigate services and strengthen their financial wellbeing. If you’re someone who values connection, purpose and seeing the impact of your work firsthand, this role offers that in abundance.
