Financial Analyst, Inventory Reconciliation/Accounting

Omaha, Nebraska Full time

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, you will perform analyses and reporting for an assigned financial area under limited supervision while supporting process improvement initiatives and analysis of business operations. You will apply sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to support accurate financial reporting, inventory accounting, and period‑end close activities.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Participate actively and, at times, lead special projects focused on automating routine and repetitive processes related to clearing IDOC errors, inventory variances, monthly inventory reconciliations, and manual transaction postings
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external business partners to resolve issues that create unnecessary work for the team
  • Provide support for internal and external financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other regulatory requirements
  • Participate in period‑end close activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, including identifying and resolving unusual items accurately and promptly
  • Prepare and review monthly inventory reconciliations supporting inventory balances within SAP and research and resolve variances in a timely manner
  • Perform general accounting activities within the general ledger, including preparing and uploading journal entries and using the Cadency tool
  • Create routine and ad hoc financial reports and review activity for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide guidance and communicate effectively with remote team members within a third‑party outsourcing relationship
  • Own and understand assigned work and respond to questions from internal and external partners
  • Exercise judgment in financial, operational, and transactional analysis to identify and help resolve issues
  • Communicate information clearly and effectively to internal and external customers
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of processes, procedures, and controls and develop improvements as needed
  • Document processes, including desk procedures, and recommend process enhancements
  • Alert management to situations that may materially affect the company’s overall financial condition

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Three or more years of professional experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a related environment
  • Experience managing multiple projects with limited supervision
  • Strong personal computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with SAP preferred
  • Experience working with databases is a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical, time management, interpersonal, change management, and communication skills
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and ambiguity

Compensation 

Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
