Rakuten Travel is one of Japan's leading accommodation booking sites, and we are looking for individuals who can play a central role in driving further business growth.
The Global Travel Management Department was established six years ago with the aim of entering the continuously growing overseas travel industry. The team has expanded from 10 to over 30 members and now covers key markets across Asia. It comprises diverse talent excelling in areas such as e-commerce, digital marketing, finance & strategy, legal, and content management.
This Finance position will support the growth of Global Travel Management Department by providing essential financial support as the team expands into international markets.

Why We Hire
We are seeking a new Financial Analyst to handle financial planning and analysis tasks within our Global Travel Management Department.
This role will provide a good learning experience for new finance person to develop his/her finance skillset in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. The role also allow the person to pick up business knowledge in the OTA industry, while partnering the market heads to grow the business. There are development opportunity for this role to move within the finance organization and also provide a good platform to join the business team in the future
Position Details
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for Global Travel Management Department Team
- Prepare budget and forecast
- Provide financial analysis for the global business by countries and channel
- Act as business partner to support to the country managers, helping them to grow their markets, identify risks and opportunities in their markets

- Business Development Team and Marketing department

Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Finance
- Business-level English proficiency (both spoken and written)
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
Desired Qualifications:
- Business-level Japanese (speaking proficiency)
- Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously
