About the role:
The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring financial information for the Customer Experience (CEX) business is accurate, timely, and presented in a clear and meaningful way, with strong adherence to internal controls and Group accounting policies. This is a hands-on role with a strong business partnering focus, working closely with the CEX leadership team to provide technical accounting expertise, financial analysis, and insights that support decision-making and drive operational and cost efficiencies.
As a key member of the CEX Finance team, you will play a critical role in month-end and year-end close, balance sheet integrity, management reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, while acting as a systems and process expert across CEX finance activities.
Key responsibilities:
Own the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of general ledger balances, including month-end and year-end close activities.
Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting, financial analysis, and performance insights to CEX leadership.
Maintain strong balance sheet controls through detailed reconciliations, investigations, and timely clearance of outstanding items.
Manage intercompany transactions, technician service recharges, overhead allocations, accruals, and expense recognition.
Provide oversight of inventory accounting, including reconciliations, cost variance analysis, standard cost updates, and audit support (including van stock and spare parts).
Support governance, taxation, and audit requirements, including FBT returns, income tax compliance, and external/internal audit queries.
Partner with operational teams to identify process improvements, resolve system interface issues (e.g., Salesforce to ERP), and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
3-5 years’ relevant experience in financial or management accounting, ideally within a service or operational environment.
Strong experience in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting, and audit support.
Demonstrated ability to partner with operational stakeholders and provide meaningful financial insights.
Experience with large ERP systems and BI tools, with advanced Excel capability.
Solid understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial compliance requirements.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA or CA qualified (or working towards completion) preferred.
