Aalto Finance Services supports the university in its core actions by ensuring financial sustainability in the long term, providing professional support for academic units and ensuring compliance. The Process & System Support team develops and supports all of Aalto’s Financial Systems and their users.
We are looking for a Finance System Solution Analyst to design, develop, and support Aalto University’s financial processes and systems.
Your role and goals
As a Finance System Solution Analyst, you will help ensure that our finance systems meet the needs of the organization while maintaining stability and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with Finance users, Finance Management, Aalto Schools, Support Functions, and external system and service providers.
Your work will cover systems and processes related to Accounting, Planning, Payments, Banking, and other Finance operations. You will report to the Manager of the Finance Process and Systems Support team.
Main responsibilities
System support and maintenance
Handle and resolve support tickets (incidents, problems, questions) from Aalto users
Manage and follow up on support requests with system vendors
Take initiative to improve system usability and user satisfaction
Manage and regularly review system access rights
Perform system administration tasks for time-critical Finance operations (e.g. month-end and year-end closing)
Carry out system maintenance tasks such as housekeeping, regular updates, and data integrity checks
Keep system configuration and documentation up to date
Development and improvement
Identify and prepare system development needs for approval
Manage and follow up on approved developments and testing
Participate in user training and maintain training materials
Represent the Finance organization in university-wide development projects when needed
Vendor management
Participate in regular operational meetings with vendors
Prepare and present summaries of vendor performance (e.g. ticket statistics, service levels)
What we expect from you
You are proactive, development-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and with diverse stakeholders. You communicate clearly and approach problem-solving analytically.
We expect
experience with modern ERP (cloud) systems, in particular Oracle Fusion Cloud
experience with Projects (PPM) and Finance (GA) modules
several years of experience with Financial systems and/or ERP Finance development projects either in consulting, corporate development or public sector
working background in operational Finance / Financial Management functions or equivalent experience
strong analytical and problem-solving skills
working proficiency in both Finnish and English
higher education degree in e.g. Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Ambition to grow and willingness to take on additional responsibilities, for example (substitute) managerial tasks and larger developments

The salary range for this position is approximately 4500 – 5000 €/month. We value work-life balance and well-being in all aspects of life.
