Key Responsibilities

  • Year-end close, quarter end close and monthly close in accordance with US GAAP & Corporate Policies. Ability to understand, reconcile and review the profit & loss and balance sheet for the division;

 

  • Support the Financial Controller and other Finance Leads in the budgeting and forecasting process and analysis of variances (including coordinating, gathering and interpretation of financial information for the regional business);

 

  • Provide support to budget holder(s) on Event financial management by effectively reviewing and reconciling budgets on a continuous basis, ensuring accuracy in revenue and profit and that information is available for senior management at all times;

 

  • Provide management reporting for decision making – trend, variance & sensitivity analysis. Ability to communicate with senior and non-finance staff to understand the drivers impacting event performance;

 

  • Focus on revenue, billing, receivables collections and credit control of events and projects across the region;

 

  • Focus on cost control and profitability of events, projects and the wider business;

 

  • Provide ad hoc financial reporting, due diligence assistance and business analysis;

 

  • Implement and maintain finance processes, reporting tools & controls across the division to ensure consistency, accuracy and speed of reporting;

 

  • Day to day management of the Accounts Receivable process. This includes working with WNS to ensure invoices are raised in a timely manner and that collections and credit control are adequate;

 

  • Day to day management of the Accounts Payable process. This includes working with WNS to ensure invoices are processed correctly and efficiently;

 

  • Prepare divisional cash-flow forecasts on quarterly basis, monitoring and management of business unit cash flow requirements;

 

  • Work onsite during the live events to support the finance team in managing ticketing, concessions, banking and any other onsite finance assistance that may be required;

 

  • Supply relevant information to Corporate Controllers relating to the Events division throughout audit process and preparation of statutory accounts;

 

  • Other tasks as deemed necessary in ensuring strong financial reporting and governance across the region; and

 

  • Any other duties assigned to you from time to time.
