World Courier is a global specialty logistics company focused on time-critical, temperature-controlled, and highly regulated shipments for the life sciences industry. It supports clinical trials, commercial pharmaceutical distribution, cell & gene therapy movements, and other high-value healthcare shipments through:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Country Finance Manager II is responsible for managing country accounting operations, overseeing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) entries, and banking activities, and ensuring corporate tax compliance. This role is responsible for, or directs the preparation of financial statements for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. The position owns internal financial controls, supports accounting audits, and acts as a liaison with the Regional Finance Director and Business Unit finance staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage country accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL postings, and banking processes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and required reporting (daily/monthly/quarterly/annual).

  • Lead variance analysis (Actuals vs Plan; Actuals vs Prior Year) and provide clear explanations and actionable insights.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements and support filings, documentation, and audits as needed.

  • Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls; ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate and support internal/external accounting audits; ensure audit readiness and timely issue resolution.

  • Drive continuous improvement by developing, documenting, and optimizing finance processes.

  • Partner cross-functionally with country department heads to support business needs with transparent, professional communication.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate-level qualification in Finance (or equivalent).

  • Relevant bookkeeping/accounting skills and experience.

  • Fluency in English.

  • ERP system experience.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing variances (Actuals vs Plan; Actuals vs Prior Year).

  • 2–4 years of relevant management experience.

  • 5–7 years of professional experience in a multinational company.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Solid time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to develop, improve, and optimize working processes.

  • Open, clear, and effective interaction with heads of other departments and key stakeholders.
