Finance Manager - UKI Sportsbook: Strategy & Trading

Your Team

Reporting into the Head of Finance: Strategic Projects and Growth, the Finance Manager will be key in maintaining market share and seeking further growth within our Sportsbook business. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and commercial execution, you’ll be working collaboratively to ensure opportunities are evaluated through a financial lens and that decisions are grounded in robust analysis. Your focus will extend beyond the numbers to focusing on the strategic direction in which our Sportsbook business continues to evolve into but also keeping the end-to-end customer impacts and journeys front of mind.

Execution of key ‘Big Bets’ in the Sportsbook space will be central to this role. You’ll help identify market gaps and opportunities to improve customer experience, closely monitoring competitors and collaborating with BI and Research teams to prioritise deep dives and insights accordingly.

You will also be the key business partner when it comes to the Trading LT. Furthermore, you will have a direct report who will be responsible for the cost business partnering on the Trading function.

  • Deliver competitor and market intelligence to advise strategy, growth opportunities, and commercial decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the Strategy team to assess new market opportunities, business models and initiatives.

  • Partnering the UKI BI team in prioritising relevant actionable insights in understanding our customers and the opportunities that exist.

  • Excel at internal partner management, influence, and collaboration within a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.

  • Ideally but not essential, have experience of operating both within a divisional and brand role previously to help navigate the ways of working.
