We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of Repairs & Maintenance (R&M) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) financial reporting. This is a high-visibility role that sits at the heart of financial planning and performance, providing clear insight and robust control over significant cost areas of the business.
You’ll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting, ensuring accurate financial information is delivered to senior stakeholders while driving continuous improvement across processes and controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working cross-functionally, challenging the status quo and using data to influence strategic decision-making.
What you'll be doing...
Financial Reporting & Planning
Contributing to the annual budget and reforecast cycles, with full ownership of R&M and CAPEX cost areas.
Leading month-end reporting for CAPEX spend, R&M tracking, and accrual management and analysis.
Preparing monthly management accounts, including insightful analysis and commentary.
Delivering accurate and timely reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.
Conducting financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insight.
Continuously improving processes and strengthening financial controls.
Cash Flow Management
Preparing CAPEX cash flow reporting to support wider organisational cash flow planning and ensure strong financial management.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Completing balance sheet reconciliations for relevant accounts.
Supporting the development and enhancement of forecasting and reporting frameworks.
Working closely with external auditors during year-end audit, preparing documentation and resolving queries in a timely manner.
Collaboration & Business Partnering
Building strong relationships across departments to provide financial insight that supports business initiatives.
Partnering with key stakeholders on budgeting and forecasting activities.
Supporting the wider Finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis.
Promoting a collaborative and high-performance working environment.
About you...
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply standards in a commercial environment.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful business insight.
A confident communicator who can influence, challenge constructively, and build credibility across the business.
Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive mindset and drive to deliver results.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing to team success.
A curious and improvement-focused thinker who uses experience and training to identify opportunities for change.
