The Opportunity
This position works out of our Imazium Damansara Uptown location in the Core Lab (CRLB) division. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
As the Finance Manager, you’ll have the chance to lead, administer, and supervise all finance and accounting activities for the Malaysia organization.
What You’ll Work On
- Prepare and submit Financial Plan, Update packages, LBE, and all other financial reports required by Regional / Area HQ.
- Ensure business and financial risks are appropriately reviewed and incorporated during planning, forecasting, and updates.
- Provide clear analysis of financial performance, key variances, and underlying business drivers.
- Partner closely with the Country Manager and Commercial team to monitor contract profitability and overall business performance.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve margins, cost efficiency, and profitability.
- Ensure pricing, cost structures, and commercial decisions are financially sound.
- Monitor and control operating expenses and capital expenditure.
- Act as the primary finance contact for external and internal auditors, including coordination with the host division on all audit matters.
- Review existing financial policies, procedures, and controls to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain close coordination with Corporate Finance Services (CFS) to ensure timely AR collections and achievement of DSO targets.
- Review expenses posted by CFS and perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet reviews.
- Oversee finance‑related aspects of importation, storage, and distribution, ensuring compliance, quality, customer satisfaction, and alignment with ROI and DOH objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial management, including planning, reporting, and control.
- Experience working in a structured, policy‑driven environment, preferably within a multinational or matrix organization.
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge with high attention to detail.
- Able to communicate financial matters clearly and confidently to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, hands‑on, and solutions‑oriented with strong ownership mindset.
- Comfortable balancing control, compliance, and commercial partnership.
