Under the leadership of the Chief Investment Officer, Total Portfolio Management (TPM) group plays a critical role in helping OMERS optimize the balance sheet over the medium term using a total portfolio approach. We lead the development of CIO strategies and medium-term asset allocation recommendations (building on the OMERS Strategy and long-term asset mix), we manage OMERS liquidity and funding, we trade in public markets, and we lead the development of sophisticated analytic capabilities including AI.
The primary focus of the Student Analyst is to support the portfolio management functions in the Liquidity Management team, with frequent interactions with the Trading team. Additional responsibilities include the build-out of analytical tools, timely monitoring and cleaning data for execution, detailed analysis for reporting, and supporting the broader TPM mandate. This role has the unique opportunity to gain knowledge into the total portfolio approach, with lens into both public and private asset management.

The expected salary range for this position is $66,300.00 - $87,750.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.
