Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Finance Director – Financial Planning & Analysis to lead and manage the financial operations, planning, and analysis for our solutions distribution business. This role is critical in driving financial performance, providing strategic insights, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to deliver results in a matrixed, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for the solutions portfolio.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to guide decision-making and enhance business performance.
Develop and execute financial strategies to support business objectives and drive profitability for the solutions division.
Financial Management and Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L statements, variance analysis, and key performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize revenue streams.
Operational Leadership and Risk Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global finance partners, operations, sales, accounting, and IT to drive financial accountability and operational excellence.
Lead efforts to streamline processes, implement financial systems, and improve data accuracy and accessibility.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place.
Stay current on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes, and assess their potential impact on the business.
Team Leadership and Development:
Integrate Pune location with broader finance goals and objectives. Establish ways of working to support highly matrixed team structure.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team to support the solutions division.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Provide guidance and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA designation preferred.
Experience: We are looking for progressive experience in finance, with experience in management too. Preferred exposure to full P&L management.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is required.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to navigate through change management.
Strategic Vision: Demonstrated success in aligning financial strategies with broader business goals.
