KONE Thailand Finance team is looking for a Financial Controller with location at KONE Thailand head office in Bangkok, Thailand.

You will play a key role in our Finance organization by leading Financial Controlling team. Financial Controller is also a trusted Business Partner for business leaders in KONE Thailand organization. You will collaborate closely with finance professionals and other stakeholders in the Asia Pacific Area, Global Finance as well as with external auditors. The main objectives for a Financial Controller at KONE Thailand are to lead and run our Finance operations timely, accurate and efficient manner but also to provide actionable insights about direction of our business and drive initiatives for continuous improvement.   

As a Financial Controller you are responsible for oversees all accounting operations, managing month-end closing process, statutory financial statements and tax compliance, while ensuring strong internal controls and adherence to regulatory requirements. You are engaged on monthly reporting and analysis of results and forecasts to management, as well as business reporting to the group. You will ensure that the KONE Group's predefined processes, timeline, guidelines and policies are followed, ensuring that all our reporting are accurate and maintain a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead oversee and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular review, reconciliation, and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Manage all tax-related matters, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax, ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal control frameworks, ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards and minimizing financial risks.
  • Ensure adherence to KONE Group accounting policies, reporting guidelines, and internal procedures.
  • Lead monthly financial reporting to management and Group, including variance analysis, key performance indicators, and actionable insights.
  • Drive budgeting and Monthly forecasting processes, including tracking performance against targets and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to operations, sales, and project teams, providing financial guidance and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Support contract review processes, ensuring appropriate financial treatment of revenue, costs, and risks (e.g., installation and service contracts).
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in finance operations.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team (e.g., AR/AP/GL), fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management, including monitoring collections, payables, and other optimization.
  • Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to ensure alignment with Group initiatives and reporting requirements.

Skills, Education and Experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting. Professional certifications CPD is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international organization. Experience in construction is preferred.
  • Strong accounting and financial controlling background with proven knowledge of IFRS as well as local statutory reporting and tax regulations.
  • Stronge in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management. Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities and working under pressure.
  • Solution-focused with ability to seeing the whole, but also likes to dive into details as needed
  • Great collaboration skills with the ability to influence and work with stakeholders across functions.
  • Eexperience in strengthening internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks (including audit coordination)
  • Passion for continuous improvement, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives (e.g., automation, Lean Six Sigma, finance digitalization projects).
  • Good knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP BPC and Qliksense
  • Fluent written and spoken Thai & English.
