Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members. In this high-impact role, you will provide financial strategic insight and challenge to empower our leaders and support decision-making, ensuring budgets and forecasts are aligned with our strategic priorities.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne on a hybrid working arrangement – minimum 2 days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the ELT, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that align with strategic priorities – managing budgets and providing analysis on cost drivers and financial risks.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets for Corporate Services and deliver high-level commentary to the Group CFO and Board.
  • Oversee month-end close processes, manage the Group general ledger, and ensure total integrity in our financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to make our One St Vincent’s vision a reality.
  • Partner with Shared Services and divisional teams to ensure financial accuracy and capability uplift across the organisation.
  • Support the year end financial close, working closely with the Financial Controller and external auditors to deliver the financial statements, covenants and Audit & Risk papers.

Things that work for us:

  • Qualified Accountant with a relevant degree and demonstrated business partnering experience in a large complex organisation.
  • Strong technical accounting experience and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Proven experience with budgets, month end, reporting variance analysis and other financial accounting acumen.
  • Experience in healthcare or data analytics is highly regarded.
