Key Responsibilities:
1. Price Ownership & Profitability Insights
- Strengthen and fully own the company‑wide price calculation framework, ensuring consistency across channels and customers.
- Partner with operational teams to manage daily finance workflows, including cost tracking, margin analysis, and variance investigations.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on gross profit performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic & operational pricing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
- Identify and communicate key profitability drivers, operational levers, and performance trends including actionable commentary to manager and senior leadership.
- Work confidently with evolving or imperfect data while ensuring outputs remain defensible, structured, and decision-ready.
2. Price Modelling, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the pricing contribution to the budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles by providing robust price inputs and profit analysis. This includes setting assumptions, conducting scenario modelling, performing reforecasts, and ensuring gross profit targets are accurately reflected and achievable across all plans.
- Maintain and further enhance pricing models used for revenue, cost, and margin planning.
- Design and own a comprehensive price cadence governance calendar, ensuring full visibility, disciplined execution, and systematic tracking of all pricing initiatives. Provide leadership with clear insights into initiative progress, impact, and long‑term development to support strategic, portfolio‑level decision‑making.
- Support commercial decision‑making through financial modeling and scenario analysis, applied not only in regular processes but also in ad‑hoc evaluations and post‑mortem assessments of deals.
3. Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Serve as a proactive and trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across Commercial and Operations.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights and executive‑ready presentations to senior management, translating complex financial analyses into clear, strategic business recommendations.
- Support decision-making in areas such as:
- Pricing and commercial terms
- Margin improvement initiatives
- Product selection and prioritization
- Operational efficiency and cost optimization
- Validate revenue and cost drivers with cross-functional teams and continuously improve data quality.
- Take ambiguous or complex profitability topics and turn them into structured, actionable insights with minimal guidance.
4. Strengthening Pricing Processes
- Lead the re‑design of core pricing workflows by identifying inefficiencies, simplifying handovers, and introducing innovative solutions that accelerate decision‑making and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, align, and track KPIs that measure gross profit performance and pricing effectiveness, ensuring clear visibility of results across the organization.
- Establish a forward‑looking process enhancement roadmap that anticipates business needs, integrates best‑practice methodologies, and ensures the organization evolves in line with market dynamics and strategy.
- Establish and embed disciplined, enterprise‑wide pricing processes that strengthen consistency, governance, and execution across all markets and channels, while driving a culture of financial discipline and accountability throughout the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master’s or professional qualification preferred).
- Proven experience in a finance business partner or similar senior analytical finance role (5+ years), preferably with a focus on gross profit and pricing management. We are seeking a senior professional who has outgrown pure analysis and is ready to drive impact, operate independently, and partner closely with the business.
- Food, or FMCG, or Production, or Imports industry experience highly preferred.
- A strong professional with a genuine passion for data—skilled in working with large, complex datasets, structuring and systemizing information, with the ability to translate data into insights that drive business action and leveraging data to drive insights and decision‑making.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP and BI tools highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting both operational and strategic commercial decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal. (Dutch, or Italian are a plus)
