TDAF Finance team provides end‑to‑end financial stewardship for TD Auto Finance, supporting sustainable growth, transparent reporting & forecasting and thoughtful strategic leadership aligned to TD Bank Group’s financial strategy. The team partners closely with business leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise to deliver timely financial insights, support business growth, and P&L optimization, while continuously strengthening controls, processes, and decision support.
Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Finance Group Manager, TDAF Finance, the Finance Analyst supports the expense and FTE management portfolio for TDAF. This role is accountable for delivering value‑added management reporting, financial analysis, and advisory support related to operating expenses, headcount, and workforce-related drivers. The position supports both monthly reporting and close activities, as well as forecasting and planning, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, insight, and continuous process improvement. Additionally, the Finance Analyst supports various value add ad-hoc request as required.
This role operates as a trusted finance partner to the business and plays a key role in ensuring resourcing and spend decisions are aligned to business priorities, risk appetite, and the TD enterprise strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and enhance monthly expense and FTE management reporting, including close support, variance analysis, and commentary, with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Analyze expense drivers, productivity metrics, and headcount movements, providing clear insights into trends, risks, and opportunities across TDAF
Support annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes related to expenses and FTEs, including scenario analysis and sensitivity assessments
Partner closely with business leaders, HR, and other finance teams to provide financial advisory support.
Prepare executive‑ready materials (decks, summaries, and ad‑hoc analysis) to support senior management discussions and decision‑making
Respond to ad‑hoc requests related to expenses, resourcing, and cost efficiency initiatives
Drive continuous improvement and simplification of existing expense and FTE reporting processes, leveraging technology and standardization to reduce manual effort and enhance data quality
Ensure financial analysis and reporting are conducted in line with TD enterprise policies, internal controls, and governance standards
Requirements
University/College degree with a focus on Accounting, Finance or Business/Commerce
Experience or exposure to expense management, headcount/FTE analysis, or workforce-related financial reporting considered a strong asset
Knowledge of auto financing industry or consumer lending businesses is an asset
Experience with enterprise finance and AI tools (e.g., Hyperion / OAC / MS Co-pilot) are an asset
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
Qualifications & Skills
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into clear, decision‑oriented financial insights
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to build trusted business partnerships and communicate effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders

Curious and improvement‑oriented, with a proven ability to identify and implement process and reporting enhancements
