Finance Analyst (Part-Time)

£42,000 pro-rata, 22.5 hours per week (3 days)

At Stagecoach, our Finance team plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the business. We are looking for a Finance Analyst to support reporting, modelling and financial analysis across our Technology, People and Facilities functions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, financial models, and insight, helping stakeholders understand performance and inform business decisions. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will support regular reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities while producing analysis and modelling to support business cases and regulatory change. You will also work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping translate complex financial data into clear insight that supports planning and decision-making.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Support the production and distribution of periodic financial reporting
  • Assist with the budgeting and reforecasting process
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support business cases and scenario planning
  • Analyse large volumes of data to support regulatory or operational changes
  • Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting templates
  • Support stakeholders by responding to finance queries and providing insight
  • Assist with long-term planning and financial analysis
  • Contribute to improving reporting processes, tools and ways of working across the Commercial Finance team

What we’re looking for?

  • Part-qualified or qualified, ACCA or CIMA, ideally in a large multi-site or operational business
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with large data sets and financial analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate insights
  • Ability to explain financial analysis clearly to stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage your own workload
