The Opportunity:
The Commercial Finance and the Financial Planning and Reporting team act as the analytical engine of the company to provide data driven insights to the CFO and CEO, to optimise decision making.
We provide management information that supports our expectations of future performance, be it in the near term, mid-term or long-term. We help the business create forecasts, against which we review actual performance and support decisions to optimise sales, revenue and costs.
As Finance Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team in various financial analysis and reporting tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial analysis, data interpretation, and contribute to decision-making processes within the organisation. You will work closely with senior finance and technology professionals to improve financial data, generate reports and provide insights.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead profitability reporting across projects and products, delivering clear insights that support commercial decision‑making.
Develop and maintain high‑quality financial presentations, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership.
Analyse KPI trends to support informed operational and strategic decisions.
Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Delivery teams on financial initiatives, modelling, and insight generation.
Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality and process automation, in particular through the use of AI and automation.
Requirements:
Good communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into business insights.
Analytical mindset with curiosity to challenge, explore trends and improve processes
Some insight in to financial modelling, profitability analysis, and cost allocation principles would be desirable.
Experience working with large datasets/lakes and data cleansing.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and data modelling techniques.
Data modelling and dashboard development.
The following experience would advantageous:
PowerQuery
Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
Adaptive Planning
AI-enabled analytics and automation (e.g. CoPilot)
