The purpose of this role is to work either offshore or land as a second representative during drilling or completion operations. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

As a Field Specialist  , you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical direction for activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality
• Overseeing, overhauling, and troubleshooting of our drilling and completion operations
• Preparing and updating technical documentation, plans, daily and weekly briefing reports for customers and internal cross-functional teams
• Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards
• Properly managing company digital tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of material and drawings

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Two-year Technical Degree preferred with 0 – 2 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of the applications of Drilling Fluids and the duties of a Drilling Fluids Engineer. 
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
• Industry experience and product line training required. 
• Employee must successfully pass instructor led drilling fluids, reservoir fluids, or environmental services classes.
• The employee will also undertake computer-based training, HSE and compliance training.
