The opportunity
Join our dynamic Transformers After Sales team in Zürich, Switzerland, and play a hands-on role in powering the nation! As a key player, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing the reliability and longevity of power transformers all across Switzerland. In this role, you’ll directly impact the stability of the Swiss electrical grid and get the unique opportunity to work alongside leading companies in the Swiss energy sector.

How you´ll make an impact
- Apply and enforce Hitachi Energy safety standards during all onsite operations.
- Perform installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and overhauls on power transformers in accordance with internal procedures.
- Plan, coordinate and optimize field interventions to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Identify potential service opportunities and communicate them to the Sales team.
- Collaborate closely with customers, project teams, suppliers and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement within the service organization.
- Complete all reports, documentation and quality records accurately in the internal tracking system.
Your background
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in mechanics, industrial maintenance, electromechanics, or a related field (e.g., locksmith, mechanic, polymechanic, automation technician).
- At least 2 years of relevant field experience is considered an asset.
- Willingness to travel across Switzerland for extended periods (minimum 1 week) and occasionally work in 2×8 shifts.
- Strong sense of responsibility and high awareness of safety requirements.
- Valid Category B driver’s licence.
- Good command of German, with English and French as additional working languages.
What would be a plus
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and electrical diagrams
- Welding skills
- Motivation to follow internal training on transformer assembly and field interventions, including advanced training in Hitachi Energy factories
