As a Field Service Engineer II, you'll contribute to delivering excellent service for sophisticated analytical and scientific instruments. Working with customers across research, industrial, and healthcare settings, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment while providing exceptional customer service. This position offers opportunities to work with advanced technology while contributing to scientific advancement and innovation.

A Day in the Life:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced analytical and scientific instruments
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues down to the component level
  • Provide technical support in laboratory and industrial environments
  • Train and support customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Document service activities and prepare detailed service reports
  • Respond to customer needs, often with short notice
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
  • Travel within assigned territory (50–75%) to support customers

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field with 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex instruments
  • High school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience

Experience

  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory/scientific instruments
  • Experience with HVAC/R, ultra-high vacuum systems, and high-voltage equipment preferred
  • Demonstrated success meeting customer satisfaction goals
  • Experience documenting service activities and preparing reports
