As a Field Service Engineer supporting our Technical Service & Customer Support organization, you will be trusted to ensure that Alcon’s medical equipment performs reliably and safely across hospitals, clinics, and surgical environments throughout your region.
You will work hands‑on with customers, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, and help maintain the high standards of quality and service that define Alcon.
Collaborating directly with clinical staff, biomedical engineers, and sales teams to ensure Alcon equipment operates according to specifications and supports optimal patient outcomes.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, including start‑up challenges, equipment failures, and performance deviations.
Conducting equipment evaluations and advising customers on upgrades, replacements, or new product solutions based on their clinical needs.
Providing hands‑on instruction and guidance to customers on proper equipment use, contributing to strong and lasting customer relationships.
Maintaining accurate service logs, preparing detailed reports for product failure analysis, and escalating issues to engineering teams when needed, all while adhering to GxP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Relevant technical education in biomedical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience in field service (preferably within medical devices) or strong technical exposure to clinical environments.
Proficiency in biomedical device technology, basic electronics, and networking.
Ability to perform fault analysis using electronic measuring instruments such as multimeters or oscilloscopes.
Strong communication skills, customer focus, and the ability to work independently in dynamic, high‑pressure clinical settings.
Comfort working in hospitals, clinics, and operating rooms, including adherence to clinical protocols.
Fluency in English and Danish
