About the Role

The Field Safety Manager has oversight and responsibility for assigned regions and field offices. This position is responsible for administering and overseeing operational, administrative, contractual, and financial aspects of field operations. The Field Safety Manager ensures adherence to established workflows, policies, procedures, safety protocols, quality control standards, and fiscal accountability for work performed within assigned regions.

What You’ll Do

  • Enforce programmatic and operational guidance issued by senior leadership and disseminate updates to field personnel.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with company policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish clear standards for field staff appearance, identification, and professional conduct.
  • Ensure all onsite and in‑person visit protocols and codes of conduct are followed.
  • Implement, monitor, and ensure the effectiveness of quality control and training programs; escalate concerns and recommend improvements to leadership.
  • Monitor staff safety and remain available to provide field support when needed.
  • Maintain consistent communication with employees, internal departments, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure uniform processes and procedures are implemented and executed across all assigned offices.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with supervisors to review adherence to processes, address field concerns, and elevate issues for resolution.
  • Assist with weekly schedule management to ensure adequate staffing while maintaining flexibility to meet operational demands.
  • Monitor staff utilization and control overtime.
  • Conduct random in‑person spot checks to ensure compliance with standards and protocols.
  • Prepare and conduct supervisor evaluations and support coaching, corrective action, and performance improvement efforts.
  • Review and manage schedules weekly; ensure schedule changes are communicated timely and accurately.
  • Track and monitor labor hours; approve timesheets and expense reports.
  • Manage and approve leave requests.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions for field‑based roles.
  • Participate in new hire training to provide operational overviews.
  • Identify current and future staffing needs in collaboration with leadership.
  • Address performance and conduct issues in collaboration with supervisors and People Services.
  • Manage and communicate with onsite teams including supervisors, administrative staff, logistics, and transportation personnel.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide required reports to leadership.
  • Recommend updates to standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Review employee training and certification status to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Conduct orientation and on‑the‑job training with regular follow‑ups.
  • Manage financial aspects of assigned operations and ensure proper utilization of staff resources.
  • Monitor operational dashboards and reporting tools to ensure timely and accurate data.
  • Identify system improvements and coordinate enhancements with IT governance bodies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or an associate degree with two or more years of extra relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, or more than four years of related experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Have at least two years program management experience in the areas related to law enforcement, social work, case work, public health, security, child protective services or similar fields. 
  • Demonstrate management and supervisory experience applicable to the goals and objectives of this requirement and appropriate for a similar program environment.
  • 2 years’ experience managing employees in a similar program environment.
  • Able to foster strong business relationships with internal and external customers and employees at all levels and across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage technology to manage contract requirements and improve complex processes and procedures while also managing expectations of stakeholders and employees.
  • Collaborate across all operational support areas to ensure company best practices are continuously incorporated and consistently executed across the program.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have investigative, analytical skills and report writing experience.
  • Valid driver's License, clean driving record.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must be accessible by mobile phone 24/7/365.
  • The work schedule may fluctuate according to work demands including evenings and weekends, periodic long and irregular working hours. Travel is required frequently between offices, within the service area, and to attend meetings and conferences as required to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the position.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Availability to travel regularly within the United States.
  • Must show proof of US passport or be in the process of obtaining one.

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance. 
  • Favorable credit check for all cleared positions.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen.  
  • May be required to pass or present specific requirements (i.e. DOT exam, vaccinations, CPR, flu shot, driver’s license). 
  • US Citizenship.


Physical Demands

  • Standing/Walking/Mobility:  Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling:  0% - 10% of the time.
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing:  0% - 10% of the time, must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Fine Motor Skills/Dexterity: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
  • Sitting:  Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time
