Role and Scope of Position:Essential Functions:
Identification of risk trees and entry into GIS based work management system as part of the risk tree removal program. Oversees permission process to be completed by AWC contractor(s).
Oversees the field performance of vegetation maintenance work; reviews customer tickets, provides updates to customers and closes tickets out in Work Studio and/or ESRI.
Tree related outage investigations to determine and document exact cause and determine if any follow up work is required.
Oversees and inspects quality of risk tree removals on the system to ensure contract specifications and customer expectations are met.
Employee must be available when required for emergency restoration events on the entire Eversource System.
Distribution
Provide technical expertise to Eversource DVM and meets with property owners regarding the scopes of work and methods for completion as part of annual program work.
After initial quality control inspections have been completed by the ES arborist and specification deficiencies have been sent to the contractor, will work with contractor to ensure that all deficiencies are completed and signed off on as appropriate.
Participate in monthly safety meetings
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in Forestry or Arboriculture, related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in utility forestry/arboriculture or equivalent experience in related disciplines
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid motor vehicle operator's license, required.
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
