Job Summary: Incumbents of these positions work closely with the mission teams housed in one or more field offices to integrate the needs of the teams with available administrative services and staff resources. The incumbents also have a principle role in recruiting entry level analyst staff and are also responsible for managing a diverse workforce, overseeing administrative services and GAO business processes provided by mission support staff, and representing GAO to external organizations.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Applicants must be full-time or part-time GAO employees on a permanent Excepted or Excepted-Conditional appointment. In addition, applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower band level (PE-IIB, PA-II, PT-III, or MS-I), that demonstrates substantive knowledge of GAO's programs and activities, its mission, policies, objectives, management principles and processes; and the ability to manage staff, and independently analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of administrative services and staff resources. The 52 weeks of specialized experience described above must be completed by the closing date of this announcement. You must meet all qualification requirements before the announcement closes.
