Field Medical Advisor (m/f/x)

(Full-time / Permanent / Location: 80% field-based / 20% office-based)

The Opportunity

As a Field Medical Advisor, you will play a critical role in advancing scientific exchange and supporting optimal patient outcomes across CSL Behring’s therapeutic areas. Acting as a trusted scientific partner to external healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders, you will disseminate balanced, evidence-based information, foster scientific collaborations, and elevate understanding of disease states and CSL Behring therapies.

This role is central to shaping clinical and educational strategies through insights gathered in the field. You will identify scientific gaps, inform medical planning, support investigator-initiated research, and contribute to special medical projects that drive broader knowledge generation. For an experienced and scientifically passionate communicator, this position offers the opportunity to influence patient care on a meaningful scale.

The Role

As a Field Medical Advisor, you will:

• Maintain advanced, up-to-date clinical and scientific knowledge in assigned therapeutic areas and CSL Behring products.
• Interpret and compliantly communicate balanced scientific, clinical, and health economic data to external and internal audiences.
• Identify, engage, and build strong professional relationships with regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
• Provide high-level information and guidance on the Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS) process and monitor progress for supported studies.
• Gather, translate, and communicate actionable scientific insights to inform medical strategy and identify unmet educational needs.
• Deliver approved educational programs to healthcare audiences, including HCPs, managed care organizations, and specialty pharmacies.
• Represent CSL Behring at relevant scientific and medical congresses and support scientific exchange at these meetings.
• Deliver internal education and training on therapeutic areas, clinical data, and appropriate product use.
• Support delivery of special medical projects as assigned.

Your Skills and Experience

Education

• Advanced scientific or medical degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related scientific field considered with strong relevant experience.

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
• Prior MSL experience and therapeutic-area support strongly preferred.

Competencies

• Advanced understanding of clinical and scientific concepts; ability to independently apply domain knowledge.
• Capable of working autonomously to achieve field and departmental objectives.
• Strong project and process management skills; may oversee specific projects or workflows.
• Ability to coach or guide more junior professionals as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence through facts and scientific rationale.
• Proven ability to interpret complex information and solve moderately difficult scientific and operational challenges.

This position reports to the Country Medical Lead Hungary.
